  • Estimated Delivery Time

The estimated delivery time is displayed near the top of every page when your restaurant is open and offering delivery. The estimated delivery time is updated every minute and is based upon:

  • Kitchen throttle. If your kitchen can start one new order every 3 minutes, and there is a queue of 2 orders, a new order can start in 6 minutes.
  • Average preparation time, e.g. 12 minutes.
  • Expected pick-up time by delivery person (i.e. when the next delivery person is expected to return to the restaurant to pick up more deliveries)
  • Time to make delivery. If the average driving time for each delivery is 4 minutes, the average stop time for each delivery is 3 minutes, and there is one delivery already in the delivery queue, the time to make the new delivery is 4 (drive) + 3 (stop) + 4 (drive) = 11 minutes.

  • In this example, the estimated delivery time is 6 minutes until the order is started, 12 minutes to prepare the food, a delivery person is available with no wait, and 11 minutes to make the delivery, which adds up to 29 minutes.

When your restaurant is not offering deliveries or is closed, your business and delivery hours are shown in the estimated delivery time box.
